Pneumatic clamps for braking systems
In 2008 we obtained another patent from Mr. Crivelletto, which allowed us to acquire the exclusive production of pneumatic clamps, both in single and double version. Pneumatic clamps are a mechanical device that converts the friction between two contact surfaces, pressed strongly one to another. Brakes are generally used for slowing down or stopping a rotating body while it’s in motion. (disc brakes). We produce pneumatic brakes, activated by a compressed air system, to be employed in sanders and cranes. The braking effect is determined by the friction between two contact surfaces, that is, the friction material in the form of brake pads is forced pneumatically against both sides of the disc to stop the rotation of the wheels.
Considering the growing interest of the customers over this year, we have developed also the opposite version: clamps that keep on applying a braking force since they remain closed, and open once they receive the command.
